New Study on Strength Training

A recent study at the University of Michigan has found that completing a regular strength training routine will stop muscle loss and a metabolism dip as we age.

It concluded that while muscle loss is to be expected with age, we don't have to accept it. Researchers even said that the main stimulus to halt this inevitable process is none other than strength training.
The study from UM's Physical Activity and Exercise Intervention Research Laboratory talks about how few seniors take part in strength training, and faults previous studies for not making it crystal clear just how great the benefit is.

You can do anything from as little as getting in and out of your chair 10 times in row up to joining a personal trainer and getting a specific progressive program. Anything you do is going to be a plus so get moving and make things simple. Squats, deadlifts, push ups and bent over row is four movements that will hit more or less every muscle in your body and can be done in little time.
Good Luck
