Meal of the Month: Strawberry Protein Jelly

My strawberry protein jelly is a great way for you to have a delicious treat that is high in protein whilst being low in sugar and fat. I find this meal very filling and is perfect for when you’re craving something sweet in the evening. So this is how you make it,

First you must put 300ml of cold water into a blender or shaker and put two level scoops of a strawberry protein powder of your choice. Now I used My Protein’s True Whey but any is fine as long as you like the taste. After you have blended the drink let it sit for a bit until most of the excess foam has gone.


Boil the kettle and pour 200ml of boiling water into a jug and add the jelly granules and stir. After this has mixed slowly pour the protein shake into the jelly slowly stirring trying not to make it bubble up or foam. Wait until it cools and but into the fridge, simple…


Sometime you will get a foam skin on the top but it tastes good and it sort of has an angel delight texture. Add in any extra berries you like or you could even slice up some strawberries and throw them in the jug before it sets.  

Final Product

The recipe given will provide 2 servings; each serving will contain 22.2g of protein, 2.8g of carbs, 1.7g fat and only 115kcal.

Overall this is a great dessert and can really help to control your junk food intake. I usually make 1 or 2 per week and have yet to get bored with it so give it a try and let me know what you think. Even if you didn't add the protein it would still be a great low calorie snack.
